Armored (2009)They have a plan that's going to catch EVERYBODY off-guard.
Laurence Fishburne, Columbus Short, Fred Ward, Matt Dillon, Jean Reno, Amaury Nolasco, Milo Ventimiglia, and Skeet Ulrich bring action back to the theatre with the new hit movie Armored. Columbus Short plays a newbie car guard with a head strong and serious side. When his armored car team sets up an initiation into the car guard league he takes their trick serious at first and gets a little sore. But as soon as he thought it was real the team laughs it off and tells him he is now a full fledged car guard. Later in the film the character played by Columbus is having financial problems and it seems that the bank is about to take his house that his family lives comfortably in. Well his team members are not about to allow that to happen. So they set up an elaborate scheme to take $42 million dollars that will be hauled from one location to another by the team’s trucks.
In the beginning of the plan Columbus’s character doesn’t like the idea of hijacking his own truck and teams trucks but after some coercing by his fellow team members he agrees under one condition. His condition is that no one is to get hurt. The team assures him that no one will get hurt but as usual when things like this happen, that promise is broken. Ty Hacket, the character played by Columbus is freaked out about this and decides to turn on the team and save the victim. Of course this does not go over to well with the team and so a battle begins to get Ty to surrender himself and the victim. Ty decides to take one of the armored trucks instead and so the chase is on. Great action!
