Justin Time (2010)What would you do with the power to stop time?
Justin Time is an adaptation by Rob Diamond from the story of Troy Hinckley. Rob Diamond writes the screenplay and directs the movie which is an adventure and fantasy genre. It starts with showing how the time stopping disc and the amulet is stolen from the Aztecs. After this, the present day with its daily problems appear and we see that the disc and the amulet have been handed down from seniors to the rightful heirs and heiresses throughout the years. While Angelique (Shareece Pfeiffer) and Justin (Chris Laird) receive their heirlooms: the disc and the amulet respectively, they learn about their power to stop time. His parents had died years ago and as we learn suring the movie, their mysterious death is somehow connected to the amulet that has been given to Justin from his Uncle Heath (Brian Wimmer). But Angelique’s dad Michael Romano (Michael Flynn), who has given the disc to Angelique, is desperately and greedily looking for the amulet and after he saves Angelique’s life, he finds out that the unique item he had been looking for is right under his nose. From the beginning of the film, the audience is being hinted at the fact that Dad Michael is not up to good and there will be some fight over the time stoppers and along with stopping the time, they let the users travel back and forth in time if they are brought together. This cute adventure with magical items and the fight of good and evil is just the right movie for children. It does not have strong language and it promotes values like friendship, putting things in a good use rather than exploiting them, helping people in need. The characters are solid and the actors give the feeling of black and white, good and evil look of the film’s world. For children it is a nice way to spend time and if you are into some fantasy children movies, it mildly flows.
