Lego: The Adventures of Clutch Powers (2010)
Adventures of Clutch Powers is an animation film directed by Howard E. Baker. Since it is a commercial movie, all the characters and are lego build-ups. Our main character Clutch Powers (voiced by Ryan McPartlin of Chuck) is a kind of building legend. He is a master at this job and he always work alone. But after he has to fight an enormous Rock Monster is the mines, barely escapes and gets another mission; his boss teams him up with other lego builders and none of the team members like being have to work together. The members are the German engineer Bernie(Jeff Bennet): the builder of their extra developed spaceship; Peg (Yvonne Strahovski) and Brick Masterson (Roger Rose). On their mission to Space Police Prison, where Mallock the Malign, the most evil creature in the universe, is kept, they fight and realize they have to learn how to work as a team. During their adventures, they build up their friendship just like everything else in lego universe. After Mallock the Malign’s escape, they find out he went to the medieval planet Ashlar and they follow him there to help the crown prince, who is the only person that can defeat Mallock the align. In their war, they fight all lego built skeleton armies, they build new ships and equipment all along. The film could be thought as the mixture of a children and version of Star Wars, Indiana Jones movies. It is a very fun movie especially for the loving children. But because it has some fighting, bangs, weapons and skeleton armies in it, the film could be a little scary and inappropriate for kids below 4-5. The characters and the story respresent the very sweet “I work alone” and “Nothing’s gonna stop me” songs in the soundrtack. The film is released on Blu-ray and DVD and it succeeds in making you want to go buy some of those cool toys for kids and even for yourself.
