My Name Is Khan (2010)
Christopher B. Duncan, Kajol, Shahrukh Khan and Karan Johar are the cast of this documentary type film that is labeled as a drama romance about the terrible life of a Muslim man and his disability. Stricken with the disability of Asperger's syndrome khan played by Shahrukh Khan, goes through most of his life not understanding what makes him so different. Later when he is invited to come to American to live with his estranged brother and his brother’s wife who happens to be a psychologist he is diagnosed properly and can start his therapy to learn how to live with his disability. But soon after the September 11th attacks on the World Trade Center take place and Khans life as he has known it is turned upside down. Because he is descendant of Muslim background he is now called a terrorist as part of the racial misunderstandings of the American people. Because he is married his wife has to also deal with the attacks and lies and soon it takes a toll on her and she tells Khan that she does not want to be with him anymore.
In an attempt to clear his name from being called a terrorist he must make his way across the US to try and meet the president elect Obama and tell him that he is not a terrorist. While praying in a mosque he hears some true terrorist plans and also decides to contact the FBI and alert them. Thinking this will also help clear his name. The FBI never answer and when he is in the crowd trying to yell out to the president some secret service agents mishear his statements and take him under arrest as a terrorist. This movie starts and the action never stops a good movie to watch and learn what it's like as a Muslim in America.
