Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief (2010)Presidents Day
From the director of Harry potter and with a cast of Brandon T. Jackson, Kevin McKidd, Steve Coogan, Sean Bean, Uma Thurman, Logan Lerman, Rosario Dawson, Pierce Brosnan, Catherine Keener, Chris Columbus. This is a science fiction thriller about some ancient Greek gods like medusa and Hydra and some Demi Gods. Three teens are caught up in a really awesome battle to get an ancient lightning ball back to Zeus before there is a huge war that breaks out between the gods. Percy Jackson played by Logan Lerman is known as the Lightning thief by the gods and they will stop at absolutely nothing to get that back. The three teens happen to be demi gods which are the children of the Greek gods and they have inherited the powers of their parents. Using these powers they will battle the gods that are after the lightning pearl and will pull no punches.
This movie has is all, action, thrill, suspense, science fiction great actors and a story line that is not like any other. The director of Harry Potter brings it all to life on the set and really pulls out the stops when he ordered all the special effects for the film. Brandon T. Jackson plays Percy's body guard in the film and has special powers of his own and has been protecting Percy since he was a kid. While the fast arrow shooting Annabeth is a warrior demi god who's mother is Athena. Annabeth really knows how to fight a battle as you would come to expect being the daughter of a female battle princess and god. Percy Jackson is indeed the hero of the film and will leave you breathless as he battles the mighty Hydra god with his 4 heads.
