The Wolfman (2010)When the moon is full the legend comes to life
Anthony Hopkins, the father of fear brings back a classic idea of the mix of man and beast in this awe inspiring film called Wolfman. Even the great Anthony Hopkins has to acknowledge the awesomeness of Benicio Del Toro is this great classic remake. Benicio is on a mission as Nobleman Lawrence Talbot to find the beast that killed his brother. He finds him all right and not at all what he expects. The beast is a werewolf and ends up biting Lawrence only to send him back to his home town as the new part man and part wolf. If you like legendary horror films, the kind Hollywood used to make, then this is the movie you have been waiting for. Not a film for the whole entire family but one for true classic film buffs.
From that moment on, his life is changed and with the aid of his estranged father Sir John Talbot, played by Anthony Hopkins, he finds the middle ground between man and beast by following his father's advice, "Either kill or be killed". The townsmen seek to destroy the beast but he is so powerful that he turns and breaks free of his binding and kills everyone in the place. Only after he returns to his homeland does Lawrence discover that this beast has been killing all the villagers and that the beast has to be something with brute strength because the bodies are not just dead but are torn apart. It's the same village his brother was a member of and his brother's fianc? helps him get settled in when he arrives only to fear him more than anything else later on. The film looks to be destined for some really nice awards as well as some of the actors in the film for some golden globes.
